AI & No-Advice Disclaimer
OptimizeMyLife — how to read what Félix tells you
Effective July 14, 2026
This AI & No-Advice Disclaimer (the "Disclaimer") explains, in plain language, what Félix — the AI companion inside OptimizeMyLife — is and is not, how far you can rely on what he says, and where your responsibility begins. It is part of, and incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Where a term is used here but not defined, it has the meaning given in the Terms of Service. If anything here seems to conflict with those documents, read them together — each covers its own subject.
OptimizeMyLife is operated by 9569-7173 Québec inc., doing business as OptimizeMyLife ("OptimizeMyLife", "we", "us", "our"). Registered address: 780 chemin du lac Brompton, Orford, Québec, J1X 6L7, Canada. Contact: support@optimizemylife.ai.
By creating an account, activating a FOX key, or using OptimizeMyLife or Félix through any channel — the web chat, the mobile app, the desktop app, or the Telegram bot and Mini App — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Disclaimer.
1. The short version
Félix is an AI companion, not a professional. He is often helpful and sometimes wrong. He is not a substitute for a doctor, lawyer, notary, accountant, tax preparer, financial advisor, or therapist, and nothing he says is professional advice or creates a professional-client relationship. For anything that affects your health, your money, your legal situation, or your safety, check it yourself and talk to a qualified professional before you act. You are responsible for what you decide and do with Félix's output.
Everything below explains that in more detail. None of it is fine print — it is the honest deal.
2. What Félix is (and what he is not)
Félix is a conversational artificial-intelligence companion and personal assistant you reach through our web chat, mobile app, desktop app, and Telegram bot and Mini App. When you ask him something, your message is sent to third-party AI engines (for example, large language models reached through providers such as OpenRouter, which routes requests to a range of underlying models that may change over time without notice). Those models generate a reply and send it back. Félix's answers are produced by these statistical models — not by a human expert reviewing your situation, and not by us.
Félix is software, not a person. He is:
- not a physician, nurse, pharmacist, psychologist, psychotherapist, or other healthcare professional;
- not a lawyer, notary, or provider of legal services;
- not an accountant, tax preparer, bookkeeper, or tax specialist;
- not a financial planner, investment adviser, dealer, broker, portfolio manager, or any other registrant under securities or financial-services law;
- not a licensed, certified, fiduciary, or regulated professional of any kind.
Nothing Félix says, and nothing generated through OptimizeMyLife, creates any professional-client, advisory, or fiduciary relationship between you and OptimizeMyLife, Félix, or our AI providers, and no duty of care, fiduciary duty, or standard of professional practice arises from your use of the service. Where the law requires professional licensing to give certain advice, Félix does not hold, claim, or replace that licensing.
3. The nature of generative AI — it can be wrong
Generative AI does not "know" facts the way a person or a database does. It produces the most statistically likely response to your input. It helps to understand why Félix can be wrong, so you know when to be careful. As a result, Félix can and sometimes will:
- "Hallucinate." State things that sound confident, specific, and plausible but are simply false — invented facts, fabricated details, fake citations, wrong numbers, made-up quotes, or references to laws, sources, names, or dates that do not exist.
- Be out of date. A model's knowledge has a cut-off and may not reflect current prices, laws, tax rules, medical guidance, news, product availability, or your own most recent information.
- Misread your situation. Félix only knows what you tell him and what you choose to connect. He does not know your full context and can misunderstand what you meant.
- Not be deterministic. The same or a similar question can produce different answers at different times. A good-looking answer is not a guaranteed-correct answer.
- Reflect bias or gaps present in the data the underlying models were trained on, or errors in the third-party models that power him.
- Not "verify" in the human sense. Even when Félix checks a connected source before answering, that does not make his conclusion correct, complete, or right for you.
- Be unavailable, delayed, or interrupted, or return truncated or malformed output.
OptimizeMyLife is offered as an early preview. The service is still evolving, and the limitations above are inherent to the technology — they are not defects we have promised to eliminate. We do not guarantee that anything Félix produces is accurate, complete, current, reliable, or fit for any particular purpose. Confidence in the wording is not a measure of correctness. Do not treat Félix's output as verified, authoritative, or reliable on its own.
4. Not professional advice
Félix's output is provided for general informational and organizational purposes only. It is not professional advice and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified, licensed professional.
In particular, nothing Félix says is, or should be relied on as:
- Medical or health advice — including diagnosis, treatment, prescription, medication, dosage, symptoms, mental-health, nutrition, or fitness guidance. Félix cannot assess your condition. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something Félix said. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional, and in an emergency call your local emergency number (for example, 911 in Canada and the United States) — do not use Félix.
- Legal advice — including interpretation of laws, contracts, rights, obligations, or deadlines, or the drafting or review of legal documents. Consult a lawyer or notary licensed in your jurisdiction.
- Financial or investment advice — including budgeting, saving, borrowing, debt, insurance, retirement, or any recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, asset, or financial product. Félix can read connected balances and transactions, but he does not know your full financial picture or risk tolerance, is not a registered adviser, and does not provide personalized financial or investment advice.
- Tax or accounting advice — including filing, deductions, credits, residency, or compliance with any tax authority. Consult a qualified accountant or tax professional.
- Therapeutic, psychological, or counselling advice — Félix is a companion, not a therapist, counsellor, or crisis service. If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself, contact a local crisis line or emergency services right away.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Any output that touches a regulated or high-stakes domain carries the same warning even if that domain is not named above.
5. High-stakes decisions: verify before you rely
The more a decision matters, the more you should check Félix's output against a trusted, authoritative source before acting. You use Félix's output at your own risk and on your own judgment. This especially includes anything involving:
- your health, medication, or safety;
- money, contracts, taxes, or legal rights and obligations;
- your job, immigration status, or education record;
- other people's rights, safety, or wellbeing;
- irreversible or hard-to-undo actions.
For these, do not rely on Félix alone. Confirm facts, figures, calculations, citations, dates, and rules independently, and get professional advice where it is warranted. If a mistake would be costly, assume Félix could be making one.
6. Human-in-the-loop: Félix does not act on money or time without your explicit OK
This is a core promise of how OptimizeMyLife is built.
Where you choose to connect them, Félix can read information from third-party services on a read-only basis — for example Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, GitHub, Slack, your bank data (balances and transactions via Plaid), weather (Open-Meteo), and travel times (Google Maps). These connectors are read-only, limited to what you connect, and used only to help Félix understand your context. Connecting a service is always your choice, and you can disconnect at any time (see the Privacy Policy). Read-only access to your connected accounts — including banking data via Plaid — is used strictly to inform Félix's responses, never to initiate a payment or transfer.
Any action that spends your money or commits your time requires your explicit, case-by-case approval before it happens. For example: sending a message, booking, moving, or cancelling an appointment, making a purchase, moving money, placing an order, or anything with a real-world cost or commitment. Félix does not, and is not authorized to, move money, make payments or transfers, place orders, trade, send messages on your behalf, book, schedule, cancel, delete, or take any other binding or irreversible action without a clear "OK" from you for that specific action. A prior approval never authorizes a later or different action. Félix proposes; you decide.
You are the decision-maker. When you approve an action, you confirm that you have reviewed it and accept responsibility for it. Because Félix can be wrong, always read what you are approving before you approve it — check the recipient, the amount, the date, and the details, exactly as you would if you were doing it yourself. We never ask you to give Félix the power to move money or trade on autopilot.
7. You are responsible for how you use Félix's output
Félix gives you information and suggestions. The decisions and the actions are yours. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you are solely responsible for:
- verifying any fact, figure, calculation, citation, recommendation, or file before you rely on it;
- any decision or action you take, or choose not to take, based on Félix's output;
- the consequences of those decisions and actions, including financial loss, missed deadlines, damaged relationships, health outcomes, legal exposure, or data loss;
- independently confirming anything important with a qualified professional or an authoritative primary source.
Do not present Félix's output to others as human-verified professional advice, and do not use it to break the law or harm anyone (see acceptable use in the Terms of Service).
For any decision that carries real consequences for your health, money, legal situation, safety, or other significant interests, do not act on Félix's output alone — verify it yourself and consult a qualified professional.
8. Your FOX key and who is speaking
Your access is tied to a FOX key rather than a traditional password. Anyone holding your FOX key can reach your account and your conversations with Félix, and can approve actions as if they were you. We can only act on approvals that come through your key; we cannot tell whether the person holding it is really you. Keep it private, treat it like a password, and tell us right away at support@optimizemylife.ai if you think it has been exposed. You are responsible for activity under your key, and any approval given through your key is treated as your approval — except to the extent that mandatory consumer-protection law that applies to you provides otherwise (for example, limits on holding a consumer responsible for unauthorized activity once you have notified us). We will act reasonably to help you secure your account once you tell us your key may be compromised.
9. Eligibility and minors
OptimizeMyLife is intended for adults. The AI agent that takes actions is available only to users who are 18 or older. We do not create accounts for children. Content intended for children and teens is parent-mediated by design, and Félix's assistant and installer powers are not available to minors. If you set up or supervise the service for a young person, you do so as the responsible adult, you accept this Disclaimer on their behalf, and you remain responsible for how the service is used and for anything approved under your key.
10. Availability and change of the service
Because Félix is an early preview delivered "as is" and "as available," the service — and the specific things Félix can do — may change, pause, be added to, be removed, or be unavailable at times, and the underlying AI providers may change. We only offer powers that actually work today; we do not promise capabilities that are not built. Nothing in this Disclaimer is a promise that Félix will always be available, accurate, or able to do a particular thing.
11. No warranty — the service and its output are provided "as is"
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OptimizeMyLife, Félix, and all output are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults, and without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
We specifically disclaim, to the extent the law allows, all implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, completeness, quality, quiet enjoyment, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:
- the output will be accurate, current, complete, reliable, or error-free;
- Félix will meet your requirements or produce any particular result;
- the service will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, or free of errors, bugs, or harmful components;
- any error or defect will be corrected.
No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from OptimizeMyLife or from Félix, creates any warranty not expressly stated here.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
OptimizeMyLife, its operator, and their directors, officers, employees, contractors, and suppliers (including the third-party AI, infrastructure, and data providers) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity, or for any harm resulting from your reliance on Félix's output — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Without limiting the above, we are not liable for damages arising from the inherent limitations of generative AI, including inaccurate, incomplete, hallucinated, outdated, or biased output, or from your use of, or reliance on, that output.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service or to Félix's output is limited to the total amount you paid to OptimizeMyLife in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$100, whichever is greater — subject to what cannot be limited under applicable law and to the mandatory rights of consumers. This limit is consistent with the limitation of liability in our Terms of Service.
These limitations do not apply to the extent they are prohibited by law. In particular, nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply to you — including the legal warranties guaranteed by the Consumer Protection Act (Québec), which cannot be waived. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you, in which case our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OptimizeMyLife, its operator, and their directors, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- your use of, or reliance on, Félix's output;
- any action you take or authorize based on that output;
- your breach of this Disclaimer or of the Terms of Service; or
- your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party.
This section does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own fault where liability for that fault cannot be limited under applicable law, and it does not enlarge any obligation of a consumer beyond what mandatory consumer-protection law permits.
14. Third-party services, connectors, and data
Félix's replies are produced by third-party AI engines, and Félix can read from third-party services you choose to connect. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, acts, or omissions of those third parties, and your use of a connected service remains subject to that service's own terms.
We handle data from Google services (such as Gmail and Google Calendar) in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements: Google user data accessed through these connectors is used only to provide and improve the features you asked for, is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not used to train generalized AI/ML models. We handle banking data in accordance with Plaid's requirements and on a read-only basis; Plaid handles your bank sign-in and OptimizeMyLife never receives or stores those credentials.
How we collect, use, store, and protect your information — and your rights under Québec's Law 25 (the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector), Canada's PIPEDA, the EU GDPR, and California's CCPA/CPRA (including access, rectification, portability, de-indexing, and deletion, and our consent and privacy-incident practices) — is described in our Privacy Policy, which also identifies our Privacy Officer / Responsable de la protection des renseignements personnels and how to reach them. This Disclaimer does not reduce any of those rights.
15. Your rights are not reduced by this Disclaimer
This Disclaimer explains the limits of an AI tool; it does not take away rights you have under the law. Nothing here limits any consumer-protection, privacy, or other rights that apply where you live — including, as applicable, Québec's Law 25 and the federal PIPEDA in Canada, the Québec Consumer Protection Act (including your rights regarding automatically renewing subscriptions and cancellation, and the rule against charging consumers extra as a "card fee"), the EU GDPR, and California's CCPA/CPRA. Where any of those laws give you stronger rights than this Disclaimer describes, those rights apply. Your billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund rights are set out in the Terms of Service and the Refund & Billing Policy, including the 14-day, pro-rated-to-usage refund window (already-consumed one-time powers are non-refundable).
16. Dispute resolution, governing law, and time to bring a claim
This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the place where you live, the exclusive forum for any dispute arising out of or relating to this Disclaimer or to Félix's output is the courts of the Province of Québec, judicial district of Saint-François.
Nothing in this Disclaimer or in the Terms of Service waives any right you cannot lawfully waive. In particular, if you are a consumer protected by the Consumer Protection Act (Québec), nothing here removes your right to bring an action before the courts or to participate in a class action, and other mandatory consumer, statutory, or public-policy rules that give you a non-waivable right to a judicial forum or to collective redress continue to apply. Either party may always bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court where available.
Time to bring a claim. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any claim relating to this Disclaimer or to Félix's output must be brought within one (1) year after the event giving rise to it. Where mandatory law — including consumer-protection law — provides a longer period, that longer period applies.
17. Changes to this Disclaimer
As the product and the underlying AI evolve, we may update this Disclaimer. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Your continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Disclaimer.
18. Severability and entire understanding
If any provision of this Disclaimer is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. This Disclaimer, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, is the entire understanding between you and us regarding the nature of the AI and the absence of professional advice.
19. Survival
Any provision of this Disclaimer that by its nature should continue to apply after your account is closed or you stop using the service will survive its termination or expiry. This includes, without limitation, Section 3 (the nature of generative AI), Section 4 (not professional advice), Section 7 (your responsibility for how you use Félix's output), Section 11 (no warranty), Section 12 (limitation of liability), Section 13 (indemnification), Section 15 (your rights are not reduced), Section 16 (dispute resolution, governing law, and time to bring a claim), Section 18 (severability and entire understanding), and this Section 19 — together with any rights, remedies, and obligations that accrued before termination.
20. Language / Langue
The English version of this Disclaimer is the governing version, and a French-language version is provided. For consumers in Québec: in accordance with the Charter of the French Language (Bill 96), the French version is made available to you, and if there is any divergence concerning a mandatory consumer right, the interpretation most favourable to the consumer prevails. You may obtain the French version at any time at support@optimizemylife.ai.
